Sheikh Dr. Youcef Bensala
Founder & Director of Mador Academy
Dr. Youcef Bensala is more than an academic; he is a bridge between the classical past and the modern seeker. With a PhD in Comparative Fiqh and over 20 years of experience as an Advisor, Imam and Lecturer, Dr. Youcef has dedicated his life to the preservation of the Sanad (Chain of Transmission).
A Global Journey for Knowledge (‘Ilm)
From the circles of Madina and Mauritania to the scholarly halls of Algeria and Egypt, Dr. Youcef has traveled extensively in search of sacred knowledge. He holds numerous Ijazahs in the 10 Qira’at, the six main books of Hadith, and the foundational texts of Fiqh and Tafsir.
Bridging Academia & Tradition
Currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Malaya, Dr. Youcef balances the rigor of modern academia with the heart-centered approach of traditional Suhba. Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, he has authored numerous books and supervised hundreds of students who now carry their own Ijazahs across the globe.
